The Urban Culture Design Project is based in Downtown Phoenix, Arizona. We are landscape architects and urban designers that love urban life, town cores, and are dedicated to community building on scales that range from local to regional and neighborhood to city. We design for people and believe in the role and process a community’s culture plays in informing the design of urban places. Simply, we recognize the role of the built environment in effecting positive change in our urban communities.
Firmly grounded in the most recent science of ecological systems and climate change, including urban heat mitigation strategies and modeling, we thrive on complex planning and design projects. We use our expertise in urban plantings, especially in hot dry climates, as well as our technical understanding of structural elements and materials to create the physical foundations for multi-use destinations, healthy environments, and inclusive spaces.
We are an evolution of Tiffany Halperin’s collaborative design practice and have experience working with teams on projects from master planning and conceptual design through construction phases of design. Our clients are municipalities, universities, non-profit institutions, corporations and private developers, all of whom are interested in building community connectivity.
